Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter To Score New Ballet

'Mythologies', Bangalter's first post-Daft Punk project, premieres in 2022

Daft Punk’s Thomas Banglater has revealed details of his first project since the French duo split earlier this year, the score for a new ballet called Mythologies.

A co-production between Opéra National de Bordeaux and the ballet company Ballet Preljocaj, the 90-minute production is about the "founding myths that shape the collective imagination," says a translation of the official French description. The Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine will perform Bangalter’s score, with musical direction by Romain Dumas.

Choreographer and Ballet Preljocaj founder Angelin Preljocaj is set to direct Mythologies, which will run July 1 to 10, 2022 at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France. Find more information at the Opéra National de Bordeaux website.
