The organisers of Third Rail have today released a trailer for the ‘Birth of Indie’ panel which will be taking place inside the Talks tent at this year’s festival.
Neil Taylor will host a panel of musicians whose bands were included on the original C86 tape he comprised in 1986, or were involved in the early U.K. indie scene. The likes of Pete Astor (The Weather Prophets), Phil King (The Jesus and Mary Chain) and Huw Williams (The Pooh Sticks) will be questioned by Taylor. Other highlights in the Talks Tent include a conversation between Edwyn Collins and Simon Goddard about the new ‘Simply Thrilled The Preposterous Story of Postcard Records’.
Third Rail Festival takes place on July 5 at Thames Prom, Reading.
