The Sundays Discuss New Music And Tour

Indie-pop group give rare one-off interview to American Airlines' magazine

Elusive indie-poppers The Sundays have given an interview to American Airlines in-flight magazine American Way (gained through some persuasive work by their super-fan editor Adam Pitluk) discussing new material and the possibilities of a reunion tour, report Stereogum. Harriet Wheeler and David Gavurin of the group, who haven’t released anything since 1997’s Static & Silence, with the couple taking time out to raise their children, say that new music is in the works: "The contentious bit unfortunately is the reunion gig — first let’s see if the music we’re currently writing ever sees the light of day, and then we can get on to the enjoyable globe-trotting-meets-concert-planning stage".

Have a read of the brief interview here, with Pitluk’s editorial, looking at how he first came into contact with the band’s music, <a href="https://hub.aa.com/en/aw/ed-note-04-15-2014″out”>here.
