The Rapture have announced a run of tour dates across Europe and North America for later this year.
The run of 26 shows is billed, in a press release, as the group’s “first proper headline tour in 15 years”, though although they did play a small number of reunion shows in 2019 and 2020. This latest tour will see frontman Luke Jenner and a current unannounced cast of collaborators perform through September, October, and November.
“This has been a long time coming,” Jenner said in a statement. “Years ago, when I stepped away from the band, I was needing time and space to piece together my life. I needed to fix my marriage, be there for my son, and ultimately work on myself. This tour marks a new chapter for me, one shaped by everything I’ve lived through and learned along the way. I’ve achieved everything I hoped to achieve through music, and now I get to use it to help anyone else who maybe needs it like I did back then.”
The North America run will kick off in September and continue into October, taking them to locations such as Denver, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Brooklyn and Washington.
The European shows run across two weeks in November, kicking off at Glasgow’s Saint Luke’s on November 11. From there, they will play in Manchester, London, Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and Antwerp, before rounding the tour off at Barcelona’s Razzmatazz 2 on November 23.
