WATCH: New Pictish Trail Video

For The Handstand Crowd, drawing on footage from this year's Howlin' Fling; live dates, including co-headline tour with Sweet Baboo, coming up

The Pictish Trail has just posted a video for his song ‘The Handstand Crowd’, taken off Secret Soundz Vol. 2, recently reissued, along with Vol. 1, on Moshi Moshi, and has kindly given us a first look – have a gander above. The video, directed by Forest Of Black, brings together shots of the, fittingly, crowd at the Howlin’ Fling, the festival Lost Map, the label Johnny Lynch (for The Pictish Trail is he) runs, hosted on Eigg this July. It looks every bit as ace as you’d expect a music festival, in summer, on a beautiful Hebridean island would look (and simultaneously gives us shadings of regret at our absence…), and there’ll be more of this in an upcoming short film of the Fling, due later this month.

Meanwhile, Lynch’s tireless touring schedule continues apace: he’ll be playing the Stirling Fringe this Saturday, September 20, alongside Rozi Plain and Rachael Dadd – whose split single we’re currently streaming; have a listen here – and Tuff Love before heading on to three shows and a DJ set in France and then embarking on a co-headline tour of the UK through November and December with Sweet Baboo. Check out the dates over at the Lost Map site.
