The Necks To Play London

Australian band to play a rare show in London

Shoreditch’s The Village Underground is to host Australian minimal jazz band The Necks on September 17th, in the concluding part of the Barbican’s Transcender festival series.

Specialising in improvisational pieces that last up to an hour, The Necks’ unconventional live performances gradually extend on a simple sound, creating a layering of noise that is influenced within the moment. The experimental trio supported Quietus favourites Swans on the Australian leg of their last tour, and will take to the stage on September 17 at 7.30 for an improvised evening of music you quite literally won’t have heard anywhere before.

Tickets can be found via The Village Underground website.
