The Membranes Play Blackpool Tower

Performance set to be filmed for upcoming documentary

The Membranes will be bringing post-punk to the top the Blackpool Tower on August 8, in what is to be "perhaps their highest gig ever in the UK".

The ‘158 live’ gig will take place on the observation platform which boasts a glass floor with views over the band’s hometown. Footage from the gig will form the centre of an upcoming documentary about the band.

They will be performing songs from their forthcoming record Dark Matter, inspired by the band’s friendship with scientists at CERN, due for release in October. You can buy tickets for the show here, and find details of the the rest of their summer gigs on The Membranes website.
