The Magnetic North At RIBA Building

Band to play first gig inside the RIBA building next month

The Magnetic North have announced a special night of live music and talks for next month set to take place at the RIBA venue in London, the first show of its kind there.

The band will play a one-off show performing music from their Prospect Of Skelmersdale and Orkney: Symphony Of The Magnetic North albums while they will also screen a film made following the band’s recent gig in Skelmersdale.

Ahead of the band’s performance on the night, there will also be talks and readings from John Grindrod (author of Concretopia), Laura Barton (writer and broadcaster of Radio 4’s ‘Notes From A Musical Island’) and Amy Liptrot (author of The Outrun).

It all takes place on August 9 and you can find out more details and get tickets here.
