The Juan Maclean are releasing their new album In A Dream via DFA Records on September 16. Already out there is the opener, ‘A Place Called Space’ (below), and now they’ve trailed it further with ‘A Simple Design’. Says Mr Maclean of it: "This is a song about being stuck, paralysed and unable to move forward, the sort of self-imposed distress that causes you to take five years to make a new album." Play it above.
Full details of their upcoming dates, beginning at Outpost in Brooklyn, NY this Saturday, August 16, are on their website and you can pre-order the album with all sorts of natty extras like T-shirts and turntable mats at Pledge Music. Take a look at Nancy Whang, Maclean’s partner in crime, talking to us about her favourite albums too.
