The Jesus & Mary Chain are working on a new album with Jim Reid of the band confirming in a new interview that the band are currently recording music.
As Consequence Of Sound report, Reid revealed the news in an interview with Time Out New York, saying: “We actually just started recording. It’s early days, but I would say it’s a more mature sound for the Mary Chain. But let’s just wait and see.” This would mark their first material since 1998’s Munki</> which was released shortly before their split in 1999. The band reunited in 2007 and have been touring on-and-off since then with a new live album released earlier this year.
