The Jesus Lizard Detail First Album in More than Two Decades, ‘Rack’

The 11-track record will be released in September

The Jesus Lizard have shared details of their first studio album since 1998’s Blue.

Spanning 11 tracks, Rack is preceded by lead cut ‘Hide & Seek’, which you can watch a video for below. In a statement about the track, the band’s David Yow described it as “a perky ditty about a witch who can’t behave”.

Speaking more widely about the album, the band’s Duane Denison said: “There are definitely some references to the past, but it’s more as a point of departure: we don’t stay there.” Fellow member David Wm. Sims added: “We literally only made the record because we thought it would be fun to make the record.”

Ipecac will release Rack on September 13, 2024.
