Last month, we reported that LA post-hardcore four-piece The Icarus Line are releasing their fifth album Slave Vows on July 22 via Agitated.
Speaking about the record, IL frontman Joe Cardamone called it a reaction to modern rock & roll being a "Mötley Crüe charade, a parade of fucking dicks", adding: "I know I’m gonna make records for as long as I’m alive, so I’m not as precious any more, I don’t care. This thing only exists so we can be happy and do something that matters to us, and to the people who need this as much as we do.”
We posted the initial album trailer, which you can also watch below, in that piece, and now have the first of four further trailers, which we’ll be posting daily for the rest of this week – have a watch above.
Speaking about trailer number two, which features the track ‘City Job’, Cardamone says: "We made these previews for Slave Vows under the guise that the visuals might explain better what the record is about. Some of the visuals depict reality and others depict the realities of people that we share our lives with. Without giving away one lyric we hoped to establish the exact mood of the recording and life as we know it. ‘City Job’ has something to do with grinding away. It doesn’t matter at what."
Head back to tQ tomorrow for trailer number three.
