A few weeks back, we posted the stream of Clint Mansell’s ace remix of The Fauns’ ‘Fragile’, which is set for release by Invada Records on a limited run 12" on Record Store Day, this coming Saturday, backed with another fine piece, a new take on ‘The Sun Is Cruising’ by the label’s Redg Weeks.
Telling us about the remix, Mansell said: "’Fragile’ really has a mood and vibe to which I’m drawn. When Redg asked about a remix, it was my first choice. I like mood music, for want of a better word, music I can get lost in. ‘Fragile’ has it." Now, we’ve got the video for the track. Fittingly, given the stratospheric scope of the reworking, the video makes the band’s Alison Garner an astral journeyer, merging with vast cosmic vistas as the track unfurls – watch above.
