Following news of the death of The Prodigy’s Keith Flint earlier this week, London club The Cause has organised a fundraiser in his memory.
The event on March 16 aims to raise awareness of mental health and depression, and comes after The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett confirmed on Monday that Flint had taken his own life. All profits from tickets and the bar at the event will be split between two mental health charities, Mind and CALM. Both are charities that the London venue has partnered with since it opened last year.
Figures from the hardcore and breakbeat scene, such as Billy Nasty, Slipmatt, Ellis Dee and Jason Warlock, are all lined up to play. You can find more information here or contribute to the JustGiving page set up alongside the event here.
In the UK, Samaritans can be reached 24/7 on 116 123 or by visiting their website. Other helplines around the world can be found here.
