The Bug Confirms New LP Release

Listen below to snippets of tracks featuring Gonjasufi and Death Grips from Angels & Devils, The Bug's first album in six years

The Bug, the main mutation of Quietus favourite Kevin Martin, has today announced the releases of his long-awaited fourth album Angels & Devils. His first full-length in this guise since 2008’s explosive, forthright London Zoo, The Bug has released a series of one-off singles on his Acid Ragga imprint since then, running up to last year’s Filthy EP, as well as concentrating on his Black Chow and King Midas Sound projects, releasing the latter’s excellent Waiting For You… in 2009. Ninja Tune explain that the record is a "a year zero re-set" for The Bug and will be "an album that is split into two distinct themes and explorations of light & dark, yet also one tied together in its pursuit of a singular path/vision".

Martin looks to have accumulated a mightily impressive and surprisingly diverse list of guests on Angels & Devils, taking in Justin Broadrick of Godflesh and Jesu, Death Grips, Grouper’s Liz Harris and previous collaborators Inga Copeland, Flowdan and Miss Red. The album’s out on August 25 and Ninja Tune have given us a taster of what to expect with two snippets from the record, ‘Save Me’, featuring Gonjasufi, and ‘Fuck A Bitch’, with Death Grips – have a listen below and pre-order here:
