Rhode Island duo The Body have channelled their furiously abrasive brand of sludge metal into a new album, their third and the follow-up to And All The Waters Of The Earth Shall Turn To Blood, one of our albums of 2010, entitled Christs, Redeemers, which will be out on October 14 on Thrill Jockey.
The record, particularly vocalist and guitarist Chip King’s trademark, terrifying screech has been curdling blood in the tQ office for a while now, and we’ve now got a first spin of LP cut ‘To Attempt Openness’, which sees them once again collaborating with the Providence, RI women’s vocal group, the Assembly of Light Choir, to play to you – have a listen below, and have a read of our interview with the band from around the time of And All The Waters…‘ release here:
