As we said last year, Teeth Of The Sea reworking the soundtrack to Ben Wheatley’s Civil War mushroom trip film A Field In England at the Cork Film Festival represented a collision of epochal greatness, so we’re elated to announce that the band have recorded the soundtrack and will be releasing it for Record Store Day on April 19 via Rocket Recordings. A Field In England: Re-Imagined comprises three tracks – ‘Whilst We Live In Fear Of Hell’, ‘An Ungodly Scheme’ and ‘Open Up And Let The Devil In’ – over its half-hour length, recorded at Lightship95, the converted ship studio on the Thames where they recorded last year’s Master. The magnificent artwork is the handiwork of frequent Rocket collaborator and "seer" Johnny O.
Says the press release: "Teeth Of The Sea’s goal was to take the mind-games, the malevolence and the magick of the film as fuel for a work that exists on a parallel dimension to the earthen realm on which the protagonists carry out their actions."
