Teeth Of The Sea + A Field In England!

Band to perform "live remix" of Ben Wheatley's movie at Cork Film Festival

What happens when two hurtling forces of unstoppable psychedelic prowess collide? You get the brilliantly cosmic collaboration that is Teeth Of The Sea, one of the Quietus’ favourite bands, performing a "live remix" of A Field In England, one of the Quietus’ favourite films of 2013.

The performance will be at the Cork Film Festival in Ireland on November 16, hot on the heels of the UK tour with Esben And The Witch and Thought Forms they’re currently midway through – head here for dates and a playlist put together by the bands.

Not only could we not think of a better group to take on the task, but TotS have got some impressive credentials: they’ve previously performed a live score of Neil Marshall’s film Doomsday (entitled Reaper) at Jersey’s Branchage Film Festival in 2011 and paid tribute to 2001: A Space Odyssey with Beyond The Transfinite at Bestival last year. Not only that, but TotS’ drummer Mat Colegate has interviewed A Field In England‘s seer-in-chief, Ben Wheatley – read the results of their meeting here.

We don’t really need to exhort to you how good this will be, suffice to say get hold of tickets here, watch the film’s trailer below and listening to the band’s excellent new album Master following:
