Tangerine Dream Reveal New EP, ‘Probe 6-8’

The group's second original release since the passing of founding member Edgar Froese, it features remixes by Barker and Grand River

Tangerine Dream are releasing a new EP.

Titled Probe 6-8, the release follows on from 2017 album Quantum Gate, which was the first record that the group put out after the passing of founding member Edgar Froese in 2015. The new EP is inspired by Froese’s audio archive, with the trio having borrowed from arrangements he made between 1977 and 2013 to produce the three new pieces that appear on the record.

Barker and Grand River have been enlisted to remix two of the EP’s tracks. You can watch a video for lead cut ‘Raum’ above.

Kscope will release Probe 6-8 on November 26, 2021.
