Tangerine Dream’s work from 1973 to 1979 is to be the subject of a new deluxe box set.
Titled In Search Of Hades: The Virgin Recordings 1973-1979, the box set features remastered versions of Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet, Stratosfear, Encore, Cyclone and Force Majeure. All the records have been remastered from their original first-generation tapes for the box set.
There are also two Blu-Ray discs featured amongst the set, which will include surround sound versions of Phaedra, Ricochet and the full soundtrack to Oedipus Tyrannus. Concert footage and outtakes from the sessions for Phaedra make up the remainder of the box set’s contents.
Universal Music will release In Search Of Hades: The Virgin Recordings 1973-1979 on June 14, 2019.
