Supersonic Festival has revealed a second wave of acts who will be playing its 2024 edition this summer.
The festival will, as ever, host a number of UK exclusive performances, with Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe’s (pictured above) newly announced appearance among those. He will present music from his score for the film Grasshopper Republic live for the first time, while Canadian sludge metal duo Vile Creature’s set will also mark an exclusive UK showing.
Bristol-based artist Grove will return to Supersonic following a debut performance in 2022, with this year’s set marking a special commission that will see the rapper appear alongside South African singer Toya Delazy and North London rapper TaliaBle. In a statement, Grove described the guest artists as “two of the most incendiary, powerful and badass live performers I’ve ever seen,” and added: “To host them head to head for a soundclash at Supersonic is a dream.”
Further additions to the lineup come in the form of UKAEA, Dame Area, Tristwch Y Fenywod, Daisy Rickman, WATER X WOMB and Modified Youth.
They join the previously announced likes of Bonnie “Prince” Billy, The Body & Dis Fig, Gazelle Twin, Emma Ruth Rundle, Mary Lattimore, and Senyawa, among others, on the lineup for this year’s Supersonic. More acts will be added to the bill in the coming months.
Supersonic Festival will take place from August 30 to September 1, 2024. Find more information here.
