Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival has confirmed the addition of Matana Roberts to its 2024 lineup.
The US artist will perform live on the final day of the weekend-long event this August, just under a year on from the release of their latest album, Coin Coin Chapter Five: In The Garden. Roberts is one of the final additions to the lineup with previous announcements having come earlier this month and in February.
The festival has also revealed the day splits for all of its previously announced acts. The first day will take in sets from Gazelle Twin, UKAEA, Melt-Banana and Dame Area, among others, while the second day will feature performances from The Body & Dis Fig, Senyawa, Emma Ruth Rundle, MC Yallah x Debmaster, and more.
This year’s event will be rounded out by a day of music including Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Mary Lattimore, John Francis Flynn, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Mohammad Syfkhan and the aforementioned Roberts, among others.
Supersonic Festival will take place from August 30 to September 1, 2024. Find more information here.
