Supersonic Adds Deerhoof And More To 2023 Lineup

Canadian rapper Backxwash is also set to play her first-ever UK show at the festival

Supersonic has added more names to the bill for its 2023 event this September.

Taking place across multiple venues in Digbeth, Birmingham, the festival has newly confirmed sets from Deerhoof, Matana Roberts, Sirôm, Elvin Brandhi, and Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals.

Canadian rapper Backxwash will also play her first-ever UK show at the festival, while Silver Moth – a noise-rock collective featuring Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai, Elisabeth Elektra, Steven Hill and other musicians – will play their first live show. Another debut will come from Ondata Rossa, a new experimental music supergroup featuring Valentina Magaletti, Agathe Max, Dali De Saint Paul of HARRGA, and Yoshino Shigihara of Yama Warashi.

They join the previously announced likes of Godflesh, Lankum, Shovel Dance Collective, Divide And Dissolve and Hey Colossus on the lineup for Supersonic’s 20th anniversary edition.

Supersonic will take place from September 1 to 3, 2023. Find more information here.
