Suicide’s Martin Rev Announces Solo Album

Suicide co-founder will release his first new material in eight years

Suicide’s Martin Rev has announced details of a new solo album, his first solo release since 2009. You can listen to two tracks from it called ‘Now’ and ‘In Our Name’ above.

Entitled Demolition 9, it is Martin Rev’s ninth solo album, and is comprised of 34 vignettes – only one of which reaches the three-minute mark. He describes it himself as an autobiographical "yearning for joy and the unattainable perfection of the artistic ideal".

The album is described as containing everything from "violent percussion experiments to neo-classical reveries to noir-sleaze abstractions and beyond". The album will be released on Craig Leon’s recently revived Atlas Réalisations label. You can read our Strange World Of… feature on Suicide here.
