A few weeks back, we were hugely saddened to hear that our friends at the thoroughly ace music magazine The Stool Pigeon were calling time on their operations.
But rather than donning funereal attire and getting all dour about things, the excellent chaps that ran the mag will be marking its passing with a wake. And not just a Guinness-fuelled booze-up (though there might be some of that) either – Savages, Teeth Of The Sea and Hermot will all be playing the occasion, at The Lexington next Monday, March 4.
The poster promises: "A wake to celebrate the life and death of The Stool Pigeon […] a spectacular danse macabre and closing down sale" – what else to say but get your tickets here and see you there.
