You may recall that in our coverage of this year’s Branchage Film Festival we mentioned watching The Stooges – Doghouse a peculiar and hilarious little film by Nick Abrahams, the filmmaker who, with Jeremy Deller, made excellent and now mysteriously disappeared Depeche Mode film Posters Came From The Walls.
We’re pleased to be able to let you know that Mr Abrahams will be hosting a screening or four of his film at the Tatty Devine shop in London (top of Brick Lane) on Friday, October 15th, from 18:00 to 21:00, and then on from 10:30 to 18:00 each day. Says the blurb (and you can watch the trailer below): "Using Iggy and the Stooges classic track ‘I Wanna be your Dog’ as a catalyst, film maker Nick Abrahams explores the iconic status of the Stooges within alternative and mainstream culture in an unusual installation and film. Doghouse is named after the classic Stooges album Funhouse, and will include video and a selection of stills from the filming by Nick and acclaimed photographer Toby Amies." Hope to see you there!
