Stereolab have confirmed details of the second batch in a series of reissues of their albums.
Next up for the re-release treatment are 1996’s Emperor Tomato Ketchup, 1997’s Dots and Loops and 1999’s Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night. All will be presented in expanded and remastered form digitally and on CD and vinyl through Warp Records and the band’s own Duophonic UHF Disks.
Amongst the expanded bonus material are alternate takes, 4 track demos and unreleased mixes of tracks produced around each album. To coincide with the announcement, they’ve shared ‘Freestyle Dumpling’, an outtake from the Emperor Tomato Ketchup sessions that until now was only available as part of a bonus 7" with the Japanese edition of their Aluminum Tunes rarities collection.
