Steely Dan’s 1977 album Aja is set for a new vinyl reissue.
Overseen by the band’s Donald Fagen, the classic album was remastered from analogue tape copies for this new release, as the original tapes for Aja and Steely Dan’s 1980 album Gaucho are believed to be lost. It’s part of a series of reissues of the band’s work, which have all been remastered by audio engineer Bernie Grundman.
Geffen / UMe will release Aja on September 29, 2023.
