Taking influence from the likes of Earth Wind And Fire, Chic and Imagination, in the words of the trio of vocalist Lawrence ‘LT’ Thompson, Radical Peterson and Kris Menace themselves, Stars On 33 aim to "produce a pure authentic sounding disco album" with debut LP This Is Love out July 8 on Work It Baby Records.
First single from This Is Love, ‘Movin’ On’, is a funky four-to-the-floor disco track, coupling a straight-laced bassline with a tambourine-filled drum groove and Thompson’s high-pitched vocals. The track rolls along centred around the catchy chorus refrains, keeping the energy up throughout and harking back to the back catalogue of their disco influences.
