Genre-straddlers and arch-collaborators, east London trio Standard Planets are currently busy with their debut single, for which they’re working with Arthur Russell associates Arthur’s Landing, as well a grafting at tracks with a pair of krautrock luminaries, Harald Grosskopf and Neu!’s Michael Rother for future release. For the meantime, they’ve given us a taste of what’s currently going on in their studio – have a listen to ‘Soft Focus’, a mutated synth-pop cut bolstered with shades of dancehall beats and the cosmic, synth-orchestral Grosskopf-featuring ‘Ethernet’ below, and stay tuned to their Facebook for more:
