Spoon are releasing a new album early next year.
Lucifer On The Sofa is the US band’s 10th studio album and is described by the group’s Britt Daniel as "the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton." You can watch a video for lead single ‘The Hardest Cut’ above.
The new record is the band’s first since the departure of bassist Rob Pope, who left the band in 2019 after 13 years. Their last studio effort, Hot Thoughts, arrived in 2017 with a greatest hits compilation following in 2019.
Matador will release Lucifer On The Sofa on February 11, 2022.
