Shaun Ryder Teams Up With Spectral On ‘Zip Zap Zoom’

It's the first track to emerge from the lockdown band comprised of John Robb and Matthew Shaw

Spectral, a newly founded virtual band created by John Robb and Matthew Shaw during lockdown, have shared their first track, ‘Zip Zap Zoom’.

It features lyrics and vocals from Shaun Ryder, which see him tell the tale of a visitation by a UFO on the streets of Salford. Drawing from his book What Planet Am I On?, in which he details his long-standing fascination with UFOs, ‘Zip Zap Zoom’ recounts the story of where it all began for Ryder. You can watch a video for the track above.

More music is on the way soon from Spectral, with further special guests promised. For now, ‘Zip Zap Zoom’ is available via Bandcamp.
