Electronic musician releases multimedia package for recent AV installation

Post-dubstep experimentalist Spatial has released a multimedia bundle for his recent project Primitives, which is out now on specialist Glasgow label Broken20.

The project itself was born out of Spatial’s experiments with coding his own software on the creative coding platform openFrameworks. Manifested as an installation of light and sound, the project, in Spatial’s words, seeks "to explore sonic and optical intensity articulated by simple geometric figures and extreme frequencies". Having presented the piece live at Cafe OTO and Supernormal festival, Spatial has now released a version of the project via Broken20, which will feature a DVD of improvised audiovisual content, an executable version of the software with source code and a 12" record featuring musical interpretations of the piece from the likes of Bass Clef, TVO and Spatial himself.
