SoundCloud Launches Merch Store Where Artists Keep All of the Profits

SoundCloud Store is currently only open to Next Pro artists

SoundCloud has launched a new merchandise marketplace, SoundCloud Store, which will allow artists to list their own designs and products to sell to fans.

Under the current terms of the store, artists can submit a design for a merchandise item, and then leave it to SoundCloud to create mockups of the product for them. The company will then create the products and handle shipping, as well as social media marketing. As things stand, SoundCloud will not take any profits from sales of merchandise items with 100% of the money made set to go to the artists themselves.

SoundCloud Store is currently only available for Next Pro artists, which is SoundCloud’s paid subscription tier that gives users more features and functionality. It’s also currently only open to people based in North America and Europe. Rapper Denzel Curry is one of the earliest users of the platform having launched merch to be sold via the store.
