Sound City Ipswich Confirms First Names For 2020

Warmduscher, Big Joanie, PREGOBLIN and more to play the new East Anglian festival

Entering into its second year running in partnership with Liverpool Sound City and Arts Council England, Sound City Ipswich is set to return this October.

The event will be staged again across multiple venues in the East Anglian town including The Smokehouse. So far, the punk-heavy lineup includes Warmduscher (who played Ipswich’s The Smokehouse during Independent Venue Week), Big Joanie, Dry Cleaning, PREGOBLIN, Chubby & The Gang, Joe and The Shitboys, Anorak Patch and Parris Robbo.

The festival’s manager, Joe Bailey, says that Sound City Ipswich has enabled East Anglian acts to form new industry connections and achieve recognition through playing at larger UK festivals, as it is the first music festival and industry conference of its kind in the town. More acts are due to be announced over the coming months ahead of the event taking place on October 2.

Wristbands are currently on sale from Sound City Ipswich’s website.

You can also listen to music from all the artists currently announced to play via the festival’s official Spotify playlist here.
