Sonic Youth, Jay Reatard and Beck are recording exclusive tracks which will be available only at this year’s Record Store Day on April 18th. More big name exclusives are yet to be announced.
Record Store Day is an international venture which aims to celebrate the independent record store. Hundreds of shops will link and "act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally."
To check out where your nearest participating store (or shop, as Luke and I like to call them) visit The Record Store Day website.
