Sónar Festival is expanding to Lisbon in 2022.
The Barcelona-based event – which has also hosted festival editions in Tokyo, New York, Reykjavik, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and São Paulo – will head to the Portuguese capital for the first time next April across three days.
The festival’s day programme will take place in a new purpose-built facility in the Cais do Sodré area. The night programme will run across three spaces: Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, Coliseu dos Recreio and the Lisbon Congress Centre. Sónar expects up to 25,000 attendees and the lineup will be announced "very soon." You can watch a short promo video above.
