The first acts have been announced for next year’s edition of Barcelona festival Sónar with the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Helena Hauff and Kode9 (with visual backing from Koji Morimoto) all locked in to play.
Also announced today are Gorillaz, Wiley, Richie Hawtin CLOSE, Bicep, Diplo, Nídia, Laurent Garnier, Lorenzo Senni, Ólafur Arnolds, Black Coffee, Bonobo and more. Next year’s festival runs from June 14-16, and you can find more information, and also get tickets, here.
Next year marks 25 years of the festival, which the organisers are celebrating with a series of transmissions directed at a planet orbiting a star 12.4 light-years from Earth. Autechre, Nina Kraviz and many more are involved.
