Solid Steel, one of the world’s longest running mix shows, is back with a new website and to celebrate they have an exclusive mix from Caribou and Coleen.
The following week’s mix will come from long-term Solid Steel collaborator Four Tet, with Anthony Naples joining him for the second hour. The team at Solid Steel have also been raiding their vaults and will release mixes dating back to 1988, with almost every mix from the past five years available in the coming weeks. These will include the likes of Autechre, DJ Shadow, Roots Manuva and Super Furry Animals.
The site, which went live at 15:05 today, is designed to function seamlessly on desktop, tablet and phone and will continue posting two hours of mixes every week. Solid Steel began in 1988 as a KISS FM show by Ninja Tunes founders Matt Black and Jonathan More, better known as Coldcut. The show has been posted online since 1999 and is now syndicated to over 30 stations around the world.
