In August, we posted the new track, ’14 Hours’, from London’s Society, aka singer-songwriter James Girdler, and now he’s gearing up for his first live show, taking place at the Sebright Arms next Tuesday, October 1, with support from Joseph Coward and TOY DJs.
To whet your appetites, Society have put together an excellent mixtape reflecting some very fine crate-digging, taking in Bobby Womack, Leonard Cohen, The Time And Space Machine, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Jay Electronica, Lee Perry, Bo Ningen, William Burroughs and himself… it’s a bleedin’ wealth of riches.
