Slowdive To Release Track For Sonic Cathedral Singles Club

The live recording of 'Golden Hair' dates back to 2014, shortly after the band reformed

Slowdive are set to release a live recording of their 1991 track ‘Golden Hair’ as part of the next instalment of Sonic Cathedral’s Singles Club series.

The live recordings dates back to 2014, the year the band reformed for a series of shows having originally split in 1995. The label explains that the live version was mixed and mastered this year by Neil Halstead and Heba Kadry respectively, ready for release.

"“It seemed appropriate as our first show back in 2014 was promoted by Nat at Sonic Cathedral," the band say of their contribution to the series. "We ended our first set in 20 years with this song, and it has completed almost all of our sets ever since then."

The live version of ‘Golden Hair’ will be released on gold 7" vinyl and will come in a gold mirrorboard sleeve. It will be released on November 14 as the latest instalment of Sonic Cathedral’s ongoing subscription service.
