Slowdive Share ‘Kisses’ Remixes by Grouper and Daniel Avery

The original track appeared on the band's 2023 album 'Everything Is Alive'

Slowdive have shared a pair of remixes, by Grouper and Daniel Avery, of their 2023 track ‘Kisses’.

Released in the wake of the band’s recent headline set at End Of The Road festival, and ahead of a series of upcoming tour dates across the US and Mexico in November, the two remixes of the track, which originally appeared on last year’s Everything Is Alive LP, can be listened to below.

Speaking about reworking ‘Kisses’, Grouper said in a statement: “Making music was only an idea in my head when I first fell in love with Slowdive. What a strange dream all these years later to work with them.

“This track was such a lush pop hit to start, I just tried to boost and smear those gauzy highs and fields of dreamy texture, and Rachel’s ethereal vocals. Added a touch of tape, Wurlitzer, and space echo too. It was a pleasure to work on.”

‘Kisses (Daniel Avery Remix)’ and ‘Kisses – Sky II (Grouper Remix)’ are out now on Dead Oceans.
