The first set of acts have been confirmed for this year’s edition of Simple Things in Bristol and a very strong initial announcement it is too. This year’s festival will start with an opening concert from Godspeed You! Black Emperor followed by two days of live music and DJs.
Leading the live acts for this year’s Simple Things are Battles, Penguin Cafe, Wire and Factory Floor. Completing the first announcement on the live side of things are Dean Blunt, Lone, Grumbling Fur, DJ Funk, Danny L Harle, Liturgy, Speedy Ortiz, Romare, Lower Dens, Nicole Willis & The Soul, Investigators, Chastity Belt, Long Arm and Loyle Carner. DJ sets will come from Ron Trent, Objekt, Mike Skinner, Hunee, Barnt, Helena Hauff, nd_baumecker, Avalon Emerson and Discodromo.
