Fisher Turner & Bad Seeds Win Ivor Novellos

Epic Of Everest and Push The Sky Away both recognised at ceremony today

Congratulations to Simon Fisher Turner and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, who have been honoured with the Ivor Novellos’ Best Original Film Score and Album Award respectively! Fisher Turner was recognised for his work on the BFI’s restored version of The Epic Of Everest, enlisting the help of Cosey Fanni Tutti, Andrew Blick of Gyratory System, Land Observations’ James Brooks, Asaf Sirkis, Peter Gregson and the Nepalese Thapa family to record his newly-composed score for the film, Captain John Noel’s visual record of the 1924 Everest Expedition – read our review of the film here.
