Sigur Rós have announced that they’ll be releasing their new album, Kveikur (artwork above), on June 17.
It’s their seventh album, and their first since signing to XL. Self-produced, it’s also their first as a three-piece, following the departure of multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson, confirmed in January. They’ve already announced a headline show at Jodrell Bank on August 30, with support from Factory Floor’s Nik Colk Void, Daughter and Poliça – get hold of tickets here – and will be following it with a European tour in November:
