Shinichi Atobe Returns With New Album, ‘Yes’

It's the Japanese producer's first release in two years

Japanese producer Shinichi Atobe has released a new album via Demdike Stare’s DDS label.

Titled Yes, the seven-track album is his first in two years. It continues a long-standing connection between Atobe and DDS, which began in 2014 with the release of Butterfly Effect. In the years since, he’s released three further albums with the label, and reissued his 2001 EP, Ship-Scope, which originally came out through German dub techno label Chain Reaction. As is customary for Atobe, these new tracks were sent to DDS without warning on an unmarked CDR. No further words were added aside from the track titles. You can hear clips via Boomkat.

Yes is out now on DDS.
