SHAPE+ Shares Roster Of Artists For 2023/24

Félicia Atkinson, Cucina Povera and more will play showcases at events at festivals over the next 12 months as part of the initiative

SHAPE+, the Creative Europe and European Union-backed music initiative that supports new and upcoming experimental musicians, has shared its roster of artists for 2023 and 2024.

The latest sequence will fully launch on July 15, and continue until July 14, 2024. It will see a number of artists perform at various events and festivals linked with SHAPE+, including Unsound, CTM Festival and Terraforma. Among the newly announced roster are Félicia Atkinson, Cucina Povera, Heinali, Martyna Basta, Ojoo Gyal and Maya Shenfeld.

Offering some insight into how the list of artists was put together, SHAPE+ said: "Each year, the curatorial teams of all SHAPE+ festivals and initiatives come together and choose a roster of artists. The artist roster has been created disregarding divisions of genre, age or popularity. Rather, creative novelty and successful experimentation have served as core values, with additional emphasis on the inclusion of upcoming and underexposed artists as well as representing local scenes of involved festivals and art centres."

Find the full list of artists here, and find out more information about the initiative via SHAPE+’s website.

SHAPE+ has linked up with Ukraine’s Construction festival, Berlin’s CTM and Brussels’ Schiev for showcases already in 2023.
