Nic Krog, one of the acts featured on SHAPE+’s 2024/25 roster of artists, has released a new album, Perfect Pattern.
The 13-track release forms a spatial audio play which sees the Danish artist form a narrative about “the dynamics of home life, queer relationships, hygiene practices, routine, ritual and control,” a press release said. It was originally conceived as the final project of Krog’s Master’s degree for the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts programme at Berlin’s Universität der Künste.
Perfect Pattern, which you can listen to in full below, marks Krog’s first release under their own name, having previously put out work on labels such as Opal and Foul-Up under the moniker Misantrop.
Krog is one of 54 acts who are being spotlighted through 2024 and 2025 as part of the latest SHAPE+ roster of artists. SHAPE+ is a European Union-funded platform for innovative music and audiovisual art, which supports various Europe-based artists working within electronic music each year via festival and radio appearances, as well as other ventures, across its Europe-wide network.
Perfect Pattern is out now on Psychic Liberation.
