SHAPE+ Artist Khrystyna Kirik Releases New Album, ‘Sub-Sur-Face’

The Kyiv artist's latest record is said to explore "the spectrum of human existence"

Khrystyna Kirik, one of the artists on the 2024/25 SHAPE+ roster, has released a new album, Sub-sur-Face.

Out on the Odesa-based label Liky Pid Nohamy, the seven-track ambient and glitch record explores “the spectrum of human existence,” according to a press release. It was made by the Kyiv artist during mentorship sessions with New York-based multidisciplinary artist Julia Santoli as part of the Time Based platform.

Kirik is one of 54 acts who are being spotlighted through 2024 and 2025 as part of the latest SHAPE+ roster of artists. SHAPE+ is a European Union-funded platform for innovative music and audiovisual art, which supports various Europe-based artists working within electronic music each year via festival and radio appearances, as well as other ventures, across its Europe-wide network.
