There’s not much use in trying to subcategorise what Los Angeles hip hop duo Shadowrunners do. Sure, Froskees’ bleepy beats and hazy throwback vibes are chock full of hairspray feels and roller rink romances, but to slap some sort of additional qualifier atop what he’s done just seems needlessly gratuitous. The same applies to Andre Martel, a.k.a. Himself The Majestic, whose proclivities for anime and superhero lore may appease the Comic-Con set yet no one ought paint him with the nerdcore broad brush.
